This oldest building in Mokpo was built in October 1897 with the opening of Mokpo Port and the establishment of the Japanese Consulate in Mokpo in October 1898, and the Modern History Museum Hall 1, which opened in 2014, is a historical exhibition hall that can look at everything from the beginning of Mokpo to modern history, and it is exhibited on a total of 7 themes on 2 floors.

Designated as Natural Monument No. 500, Gatbawi Rock is a rock shaped like two people standing side by side wearing bamboo hats. It is a welded tuff formed from volcanic ash that hardened about 80 million years ago.
It is a sculpture created by nature without any artificial factors, and is rare and hard to find in other regions weathering holes, making it an interesting and beautiful natural learning site.

The dancing sea fountain, which has a length of 150 meters, a height of 13.5 meters, and a maximum spray height of 70 meters, has a magnificent and fantastic performance every night with a laser show with a story set to the sweet melody, gorgeous light, and a huge water stream dance with beautiful stories unfolded on the water screen, and provides precious memories to tourists with various programs such as story introductions and proposals with visitors.
Completed in 2012, Mokpo Bridge is a four-lane road with a total length of 4,129km and a width of 35~40m, connecting Mokpo North Port and Gohado.
In 2018, a marine cable car will be operated across Yudal Mountain and Gohado Island down the coast of Mokpo, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of the sea in Mokpo even more.
